Jess, I am pretty certain I have the right person in 1871 as the family she is visiting is called EARLY and on the 1901 there is a cousin listed with the family of that name.

I'd try to find out more about the people she was visiting. I have a census where the same child is listed twice, once with her parents and again with her grandparents Heather

I am still trying to find my g grandmothers birth. Her Name is Annie ELLIS and I have yet to find her with her parents. I know her father is George ELLIS from marriage cert. I have her on the 1891 married to g grandfather and listed as age 31 and born Marston, Wiltshire. On the 1881, she is aged 21, birthplace is the same and she is a servant. On the 1871, she is aged 10, birthplace is the same, and she is listed as a visitor Now, I thought, she must be with her parents on the 1861, but looked on Ancestry and searched on all different fields, but can find nothing. Problem is that there is a Annie Elizabeth ELLIS for whom I have a birth cert. This person has parents George Hackett ELLIS and Hester Hendon STOCKWELL. I have found this one on censuses with parents as well as mine with other relatives. On the marriage cert. fathers occupation is labourer, but this George Hackett Ellis is a wine merchant, so definately not mine. Any idea where I go from here.
