I have recently found out my Grandfathers home address In Wales for the 1920s and it gave his fathers name too. I did try looking at the 1901 census but had no luck. I think my only other option is to find who lived at the address for the dates i have got but I dont know where to look. I am now living in Scotland and wondered if anyone could point me the right direction. thanks Sue x

Sue From the homepage of this website, Getting Started section: 'Electoral registers began in 1832 and by 1884 all male householders over the age of 21 were entitled to vote. By 1918 all men over 21 and women over the age of 30 could vote, changing to the age of 21 for women in 1928. In 1969 the age was lowered from 21 to 18. They are usually kept by local libraries and county record offices and are an excellent way of trying to trace down towards the present.' nell

Sue Have you tried this site? http://www.familia.org.uk/libraries.html You can look at what resources particular libraries have, in my case it's my local Record Office that hold the electoral rolls for the area. If you email the library/RO and ask for a look up, explaining you are some distance away, they are often very helpful Hope this helps Sam
