I was having trouble viewing images, even though I had the plug-in so I uninstalled it and then downloaded the manual version of and installed it on my computer. However, when I try to view saved images, Internet Explorer opens and shows a message 'Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for options'. When I click and select 'Allow Blocked Content' I just see a small square in the top left corner of the window. In the DjVu Browser folder (within Program Files) there are Electronic and Scanned options but no program. Can anyone help me?? Thanks in advance Lyn

Thanks Val I don't really want to uninstall SP2 as I believe it is important for security. Can anyone advise another way please? Thanks Lyn

OMG! Me too!...thankyou Lyn. This has been doing my head in. I blamed my friend that sorts out all my mistakes on this damn contraption! Looks like I have to appologise to him lol. He has been moaning at me for having 'tool bars' (Google) for one. He says they have 'Spy wear/where/whare' and thats why my PC has been running slow. I must admit it's speeded up since removing them! I thought he had dissarmed DJVU somehow. (I miss Google) Gerri x

Since Microsoft became more security conscious (SP2) I have been getting ActiveX messages whenever I try to view a DjVu file off-line. I got fed up with the bleep click bleep click cycle for everything, so wrote my own browser which is not annoying and lets you rocket through your DjVu files. If you're interested send me a message, and I'll give you a link. If you're a bit of a techie and can break things easily I'm particularly interested in your feedback. cheers, Mark

To help on the DjVu not working at all problem ... I seem to remember it being a bit fiddly. I think what I did in the end was download the Manual Installer (8.5mb) for DjVu Browser Plugin. Check the Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs) first to see if it is installed already. If it is (and you're having problems, remove it, then install the manual version). Mark

I had problems for some time , but I had another go recently and managed to do it with the help of some nice person on this site. Everytime I log on to 1837 my puta tells me it is not a secure site and do I want to open it. It is a bit of a worry but what can you do if it is the only site you can get some info from.
