Incidentally, I just realised that there were some more children, on the next page: May E Slatter, Daughter, 4, Walworth Surrey William J Slatter, son, 2, Sydenham Kent Frederick W Slatter, son, 4M, Penge Surrey Also, there's this death on FreeBMD which could be for another child: Deaths Dec 1909 SLATTER Walter Frederick 5 Greenwich 1d 546

Found him in 1891 - transcribed as Statter: 1891, Penge London: Statter, Walter 27 Croydon, Surrey Head Statter, Winnifred 29 Barkett, Berkshire Wife Statter, Louisa J 8 Sydenham, Kent Daughter Statter, Henry 6 Penge, Surrey Son Source information: RG12/598 Registration district: Croydon Sub registration district: Croydon ED, institution, or vessel: 67 Folio: 42 Page: 19 For his death, you'll need to search 1837online from 1901 onwards. FreeBMD is incomplete and has no records after 1910. Richard

My husband's g.grandfather does not appear to have died! Walter Slatter, was born in Croydon Surrey around 1863, registered June 1864. He appears on the 1901, 1881 and 1871 census returns. (In 1871 he is described as age 1 - but I think it has been mistranscribed from 7) The whole family seem to be missing from 1891! My problem is I can't find a record of his death. Any tips would be very welcome. Thanks, Penny.
