Hi There has been a 'story' that we are related to a 'famous jew' by the name of Rebecca (or Rebekah?) Amos. I have done a search on google and not come up with anything. The story goes back years and my mother remembers being told about her when she was little, and my mother was born in 1944. If it is true I would love to include it in my 'family history' Anyone got any clues? Thanks

What was she famous for? When/where did she live etc? Thanks Jacquie

If you post the story as you know it or as much detail as you've been told and can remember there will be a better chnce of us finding the story for you, Hun.

Yes, I know. But that is all I know about it I'm afraid. I knew it was a stab in the dark, but I just thought someone may have heard the name before. Oh well, it was worth a try - back to the drawing board I guess. Thanks

Try leaving a message on the boards on one of the UK Jewish sites as Jewish communities were quite tight in the 40's and earlier no doubt someone will know the story. Start off with this one;- www.somethingjewish(.)co.uk Thanks Jacquie
