I recently bought a a Netgear Wireless router so that I can use the internet on my new computer downstairs as well as my son having access upstairs. The router is compatible with AOL- I also bought a wireless USB2.0 keychain adaptor as advised by the salesman and he assured me that I didn't need anything else. So far my son hasn't been able to connect the two computers- he's read the instructions and what seems a simple task hasn't worked...could someone out there please talk me through this, if possible? Hi, Phone aol, they talked me through my network set up. Mine is using a netgear but wired, as it is compatable with aol they will help you. I think its a freephone number, they were very helpfull. In my case my password was to long. Trixie

Hi Again Yes good point Trixie - passwords cannot be longer than 8 letters/numbers in total. Vikki xx

Thanks Trixie, I'll wait until my son gets in and ask him to ring them. I'm sure it's something silly as I know the components aren't faulty....I wonder if the pass word is the culprit? Aileenx

Aileen Have you run 'set up a home or small office network'? Its in - my computer, then press 'network places' on the left hand side. then top left you'll find it. Otherwise its probably password as before. Vikki xx
