hiya Jess, have seen you knocking about, wasnt expecting a reply so soon, Anyway here is what I'm up against: Wife:: Selina Poole died 8 april 1907 @ 76, bishop street, Sub dist, st martins, birmingham. Informant of death is C. Poole Daughter In law Present at death (same address) Its the informant i'm after who was she married to??? the most likely is Christopher G. Poole But I cant find a marriage for them on ancestry Husband:: Frederick Poole died 8 march 1907 @ workhouse infirmary weston rd, all saints, birmingham,, informant was L.E. Poole sister in law, 2 back 62, coleshill street, dont know who she is either, Unless she is Edwin Poole's wife but I cant find a marriage for them either (edwin being fred's brother) HAve checked 1901 cen for this family, they are all together at Irving street, st thomas, birmingham Why would he have died in workhouse and she somewhere else??? they both died of TB, which resulted in my gran being brought up by Nuns, dunno where or what they were doing after that, any help jess would be fanny lastic Julie :)

On that first certificate does it say Mrs C Poole (D-I-L) or just C Poole? If its the former the C would stand for Christopher's name. Don't forget that a woman adopted her husband's initials as well as his surname when refered to as Mrs. (Just like Princess Michael of Kent)

hiya All, many thanks to everyone for looking and suggestions, Edwin Lord poole, have seen his entry alot on ancestry was born around 1885 I think, My edwin was born around 1878, It doesnt make it much easier with there being so MANY of the damned names, in that area, I've got 2 families with same/similar names on the same road in different census's, just feel like i'm going round in circles ;) The name on the first death cert, for informant is just given as C.Poole, D.I.L then 76, bishop street as addy of death. I'm seriously thinking now that i've got wrong Fredericks cert of death, even though things tie in, Which is really why I need to find out who, L.E. Poole is as well, Ho hum i'll just keep swimming like a one legged duck!!!!! many thanks Julie :)
