How do we find out if one of our relatives was away fighting in the boer war? it might explain why my great grandfather is not on the 1901 census

Type in 'Boer War' in the search box above these threads. Courtesy of Chris Dunn-Dean - type in GOOGLE 'kevin asplin military resources'....his site gives a list of soldiers in the boer war.
