Have been trying to find a ROBERT WILLIAM DAYMAN born 26/03/1898 Sundridge union workhouse Kent. Born to Pylliss Rosetta DAYMAN AKA Rose. NO father named. Rose was born 1875 in Cudham Kent To confuse matters Rose marries in 1898 to Robert LEACH, Paddock Wood Kent. The story isthat RWD never got on with his stepfather, and never took his name.... however i can't find any of them under any name??? Any ideas??? Shelli P.s IF and it it is only IF Robert leach was serving in a war woudl the family be with him???? just thinking aloud LOL

Sheli, Found this in 1881 census Emily Dayman/head/49yrs/b stone, kent Ellen '' '' /dau/18yrs/b Cudham, kent Margaret/dau/10yrs/b cudham,kent William/son/8yrs/b keston, kent Rose/dau/6yrs/b knockholt,kent living at 60 colgates, orchard RG11/906

In 1891 there's a 16-yr-old Phyllis Rosetta Dayman (transcribed Daymon in Ancestry) acting as (domestic servant) nurse in Medical Practitioner, William Alfred Cox's household at 2 (north side) Mulgrave Rd, Sutton, Surrey. She's given a birthplace of Halstead, Kent, but that's very close to Cudham. There's a 19-yr-old coachman called James Fleming... Christine

Heather yes thats the family in 1881 Christine yes thats her in 1891 and if i recall there is also son of the house the same/similar age. Zoe Paddock Wood Kent Sept 1898( can't recall exact date, but have cert). Both of paddock wood. And i know its my Rose cos one of the witnesses is a brother in law. I was wondering if Robert Leach was fighting away, as on the marriage cert he is a Petty officer RN. So if he is away would his family be with him????

Sarah, i doubt that the family are with him if he's away, was just clutching at straws. been searching on and off for almost two yrs.......... i'ts now a matter of prinicpal LOL
