Can anyone tell me what percentage of births were registered circa 1885? I'm trying to trace parents of my g/grandfather but I can't find his birth cert. His death cert says he was 70 in Aug 1955 when he died and he married in 1910 in Epsom, Surrey aged 24 which ties in. But I can't find an Albert Claud Coleman with a DOB which fits (his father is given as George Coleman on his marriage cert). As I don't know where they originated from I'm stuck. Any ideas gratefully received-thanks

Hi Mark! Have you found him on 1891/1901 census? That should give you loads of info to go on!! (parents,birth place etc!) Good Luck!!!
