Hi , Anybody know what district Marsden in West Yorks would have come under when registration started? I seem to be going round in circles, and getting nowhere fast. Jay. |

It's near Huddersfield, but I'll check cos it could come under Holmfirth. Yeah, comes under Huddersfield for Civil Registration. |

If before 1870, it wasn't compulsary. Or maybe she wasn't registered where you think she was.... |
