Why 1881? Its the marriage you are looking for isnt it? Or did you want more info? They arent on Pallots Index. George not showing up on IGI (though lots of other George Glasspools who should be related and worth you checking).

There is an 1840 marriage of a George GLASSPOOLE on freebmd but I am unable to check his spouse. On the same page is a Mary Ann.

Yes got both George Glasspool and Mary Ann Anglis on different pages in Hampshire but not on a marriage. The only possible is the Sept Quarter 1841 both Hants but George in Southampton and Mary Anglis Basingstoke. You could try 1837online to see if this is an error and they tie up on there.

Hi Mags, I have just found those two as well Strange this is I have birth certificate of my G grandfather, one of their children, stating father George Glasspool (on census born Southampton) and mother Mary Ann Angliss (on census born Basingstoke.) Everything matches accept the two different volume and page numbers. The marriage date even fits Any advice very welcome. Linda

Could George be a 2nd husband for Mary Ann. Can you find a death for her possible first spouse? When she married George she may have had another surname if that was the case.
