surname which one would you choose?

I was checking baptisms on the LDS family search for the chuldren of Charles and Emma Bostrom in Guernsey William mothers maiden name Emma TERGBY Walter mothers maiden name Emma TAYLOR Samuel mothers maiden name Emma RUGBY There isn't a baptism entry for their daughter Matilda who was the one I was looking for. The census shows that Emma was b in England So which surname would you choose? Bren

Is it a census available on Ancestry, if so have you looked for her with each surname there, if I'm about I'll check for you, just need details, AL

Hi Brenda, I think you should contact the Guernsey Archives Office and ask if they could provide you with photcopies of the original baptism entries, then you can make an informed decision about which of these is the correct one. That would save you chasing a name totally unconnected to you. Seems likely that the handwriting could have been difficult to read, so it's possible that none of these are correct! Best wishes, Carole
