Hi all, I'm hopeing someone can help me with this. Great nan & grandad married in November 1902, the marriage was witnessed by Charles T Hughes & Ada M Hughes. I know that Charles & Ada were great grandads brother & his wife, I've looked for the marriage of Charles & Ada between 1901 - 1902 (as charles was with the parents in 1901 census) and couldn't find it, I eventually found marriage in march quarter 1909. When I recieived the certificate everything appeared to be correct both names, ages. Charles's address was different to 1901 but that was no surprise. What I'm unsure about is Charles's father is down as George Daniel Hughes, When the fathers name should be Charles Daniel Hughes, even the fathers occupation is correct. Do you think this could be just a mistake that the fathers first name was put down wrong. there appears to be no other Charles Hughes of the same age in the same area in 1901. Much appreciated for any help with this Michele |
