If anyone could help i'd be really grateful as i've been looking for this marriage for ages. I'm trying to find William Haynes born in Barnes, Surrey between 1837-1839 ( i don't know exacts i'm afraid) who married a Clara Louisa Newell born in London City in 1842. They were married in the 1871 census and living in lambeth, london and by the looks of things have lived around this area the whole time they were married but i just haven't been able to find details on the marriage yet. Please can someone try and help me. Many Thanks Ali

As they dont appear to be on freebmd yet, its will be a case of you paying to view on either 1837 online or familyrelatives. Familyrelatives site is brill from 1866, but your couple may have married prior to that date. How old is the oldest child? If you take a year or two before the birth of the oldest child it will help you narrow it down. Searching on 1837online would cost 40p per year. If you are lucky and they married from 1866 onwards familyrelatives would be a better site at £6 per 60 units as you can enter a name, area and time span and bring up all the possibles. Once you have a reference for the marriage you can pay £7 at the GRO online site for the certificate.
