Hi Martin, Traceline trace people via their NI number so this should stay the same even if she married, however, they will not give you her adress but they will forward on a letter to her should they find her, then its her descion if she wishes to reply. The bad news is they charge between 30 and 50 pounds for this service, also they cannot help if there was an adoption. Regards Sheila

There was a mention recently of TRACELINE, a service run by the GRO. Look on their website or do a websearch and you will find details. I am going to ring them myself tomorrow to see if they can search by maiden name. We discovered a few years ago that mother had a sister and there is just a faint possibility that she could be still alive. MB

Hi Magdelena, Just had a look there is a Ms Kathleen Garcia down in London, she may not be your sister though as there are over 200 Garcia's in the London area. Just had a look on 1837 and there are 2 matches for this name under marriages from 1984 till 2003 also, there could be some before this time as well, reckon you can take a look at the areas of the marriages and see if any seem likely if so let me know her married name and I will see if I can find anything for you. Good Luck Sheila

If Kathleen remained single then she would be in the telephone directory no doubt. If she married after 1970 then afraid it is a matter of going through the 1837online registers and trawling through to end 1883 to find her married name. From 1884 there is a simple questionnaire that will give results for marriages or deaths up to 2002.
