Thanks very much, Mad Alice. I've just tried it, and all those missing generations popped into view! Better read the 'online tutorial' soon, or I'll be on the GR Tips Board all night! Best wishes Natalie

When the tree appears on the screen there are ten boxes on the right hand side. Click on the third one down and you can change the number of generations. Hope it works! alice

I've just got FTM 5 (at last!), but was too excited to read instructions, so plunged in and entered several generations of my family tree. It all seems fine, but when I go to look at the tree, it only seems to show four generations. Have looked at help pages without success. Any suggestions? Thank you! Natalie
