PDF files are created by ADOBE ACROBAT but can be writen by some other progs, which act like printer drivers. There was one given free on PC ANSWERS a couple of months ago. David

Its confusing, my question is do people create PDF files themselves or does a program do it for them? (Hence generated genealogy reports in some programs)

Just a thought, don't confuse pdf files with PAF. That is a different programme from the LDS Paul

pdf files are just another type of file so to speak. You need the programme to read them but you can download it free. Try searching for 'Adobe' or Adobe Acrobat', that is the one you need. Paul

I see some people have sent me PDF files. Have these been created by hand or been generated by a Genealogy program. Also wondering how to arrange info and what and how much to collect. Thanks Steve
