Recently went to one of my local cemeteries with my mother. Didn't know where to find the graves, my mum knew a rough area. This nice woman in the office searched for the graves for us and gave it all to us free! Usually its £7 a grave! So thats brilliant..... now going to look after the graves (as my other family can't be bothered! Steve

I don't begrudge paying money to keep the grave in a very decent state. Paying money to find it however I go against, but what can you do. They all charge now. Better than trawling through the cemetary grave by grave. Good thing is you get all the people on the grave if more than one Steve

Steve I have never paid when I go to the cemetery (which is often )looking for my relatives. I have never heard of this before.Perhaps it is different in Wales, but I think it is disgusting charging you, it should be part of the service.Like you I have been shown where my gt.grans grave is and i am looking after it. Regards Gwyneth

Sorry, I thought you meant you were paying in order to look after it. I have had help from Ann's Hill Cemetery, Portsmouth, and Bournemouth. They have looked up the grave numbers and sent plans to me, one even took a photo, and there was no charge. Joy

Wish I knew where these cemteries were, they don't charge. The one near me charges as it is private and they're a trust.
