Im having real probs over one in London in 1912. I think very few have survived. It may be better for you to look for a local newspaper which may have reported the inquest. Try emailing the records/archives for the area for a list of papers at that time.

I was looking for two inquest s for my grt grt grandparents. He died in 1909 as a result of an accident in the London Docks .& she died suddenly in 1919. both certs had the coroners name as the informant but I wasnt able to find any details. Checked first with the local archives for newspaper reports.NONE then went to the London Metroploitan Archives but was told none kept before 1929 & then only about 10% from then onwards. Shirley. PS you could ring the Archives & recheck as you may get adifferent answer Their no is 02073323820

Have you tried going to Colindale ,look in the nearest local newspaper for the area you are interested in to see if the inquest has been reported, most of them were, I obtained a report of the inquest on my late husband`s father, he had died as a result of a gas leak, and the inquest was reported in several papers in minute detail, I then discovered from that ,father in law had made a second marriage we had not known about. So, that could be your first step if you can travel to Colindale, would be well worth it, I think you could obtain their web details for an index of papers held, from Google, then you could find out which paper you need to look for. Also, have you tried the nearest record office for the area in which the death occurred? they too would likely have a local paper recording the inquest, you could telephone an enq

Colindale is where the British Library Newspaper Library is based. I have a newspaper report of my gt grandfather's inquest in 1879 - just a paragraph, photocopied from the microfilm of the paper which was in Islington Local History Centre. nell
