Karen, Sorry, don't know anyone who lives, or lived there but..... Jevington is quite a small village. It has the best resturant ever, called The Hungry Monk, where, apparently, the Banoffi Pie originated. The Hungry Monk house dates back to 16th century and the windows are on floor level. I will be back there Witsun week, do you want me to look at anything for you? Kim |

Karen Still can't work out why this rings great big bells BUT Looked up Jevington in an old book my dad had and you may be interested to know that Jevington is a village with a partly Norman church, in the churchyard is a curious 'SHIP' gravestone. I have a sketch of it in the book and it is like one of those troff ones on the ground [if you get what I mean] with what looks like grass inside [that's probably right] and a ship with 3 sail masks a little off centre. Very unusual, maybe if you googled churches in Jevington it might be on the net. |
