I am a bit confused. Births etc in Bulwell in Nottingham always say, under Basford 1837 - 1899. However, it also says that it comes under Nottingham from 1899. Do they mean that it comes under Nottingham from 1900? It can't be under both in 1899 surely? All suggestions gratefully received :)) Chrissie |

As there are four quarters in a year presumably the registration district changed part way through 1899 -earlier quarter(s) in Basford, later ones in Nottingham? |
