I normally visit about twice a year. The staff don't tend to get involved much in research but index have always computerised and you have access to all BDM fiche, parish records & census. Since they have digitalised their records things have got even better , as the functionality of Scotlandspeople is availsble for the cost of a day pass. You can't save images but you can run through a list of potential records & not worry about wasting credits. Would recomend a visit to anyone starting out & exploring Scottish roots |

has any body visited registry house in edinburgh for research? i was there on thursday and was disappointed, i found very little of what i was looking for and the staff werent that much help. |
