You would find birth marriage and death indexes for wales deffinately, as I've found my family (mainly welsh) on there. They don't have the welsh census from 1861 as yet but fingers crossed they will have it soon. 1837online is a pay per veiw site but the site explaines the charges better than I can.

Anyone got any clues as to when Sussex might be added? Linda

Sorry Linda, I only know what 1837 post online and in there news letter. But the rate that they've been adding counties, it will not be too long. They've added 11 counties in just a month instead of the expected 6/7.

tYPICAL! Very grateful to get info about update and glad to see Cornwall included. Go to the site to find my relatives - no sign of mum, dad or children. Search on mum's unusual Christian name and find the family has been mistranscribed!!! nell

Checked on another great-grandmother - she's mistranscribed too! nell

Nell, 1837 is pretty good about correcting transcriptions - thay may even give you a few extra credits to compansate. I did this with some of mine which they later corrected but i've since found out that ancestry has also mistranscribed the same person but with a different error.
