That seems quite inefficient and really defeats the purpose of an online database. It would be very useful to be able to add all the branches of a family across the country together to make 1 tree. It seems wrong to potentially duplicate information in many trees on here if we are talking about the same person.... |

Why don't you combine your tree offline and just upload it once? |

I don't think that you can merge trees on this site. You'd need to export both trees to GEDCOM format, then use another software program, such as Family Tree Maker to do the merge. Then, once you're happy with the merged tree, re-import it to GR. Richard |
