Paul, She's listed as Minnie on the census and when she died. She was 35 when she died in sept 1894 and she was born in London on the 1891 census so that puts her born about 1859. What was her father's name? Crista

I have an ancestor called Ellen who is recorded as Minnie in the 1901. Possibly because her mother was Ellen also? A sort of early mini-me?

Minnie can be a name in its own right, but in my family it has also been used as a short name for Miriam and Marion. Jeanette x
