Can anybody help with advice on how to trace the date and place of death of a wife of a soldier serving in the army during 1887 and 1883? If the death happened while they were serving abroad would the body be buried there or brought back to England. I'd appreciate any help as the FRC and the National Archives have not shed any light on this

I don't know how helpful it would be to you, but have you tried the, The Commonwealth War Graves commision? You will find them on the web, and you can E-mail them. They are very helpful... or at least try to be! Deanna X

Have you tried overseas deaths on 1837? I take it you havent found her death on ancestry beta index?
