Not sure about the legalities of it but it is a bit over the top.

I don't know how it would work for him to be able to sit at home, unless he lives close by. Surely it would need one hell of a relay system. Very expensive.

Not sure about the legalities about this, but what he has installed (if i am correct) must not be hidden - ifthis is the case where cctv is hidden - this would definitely come under invasion of privacy plus anything else that may be mis-construed.

We have CCTV at work, but from fixed cameras.It is there as a back up, if an incident occurs, and the police have to be involved.
We ignore it now, and if you are doing your job as you should, there is no need to worry.

I believe that it is part of everyday life now.

Dizzi-can you click on to cameras on work computer? Then you can see where they are targetting.
You can hide when you get used to the system! I've had this for 4 years now -you can look extremley busy with your back to the screen -just sit up straight-don't slouch!
My boss is great though-if there is work to do and we are doing it he leaves us alone -if there is no work he naggs a bit then goes home !
Basically cctv is there to protect the business -and you as an employee--I did have major problems like you,when the cameras were installed,but now realise the sense and welcome the cameras-I am dealing with money ,nasty customers,irate guests...
Now it's all on camera ,I did my best and look at there bl***y reaction.
You think you your boss has nothing better to do at night than watch what is going on at his business?
He'll flick through at treble speed (if he can be bothered ) unless there was a problem then he can see exactly what went on !
If you are an honest employee -there's nothing to worry about ---------------------------don't know 100% about the bosses though !
