would someone please explain what this is...ive only been a member 1 week i had this flashing on my screen...my anti-virus said it has blocked it but can it still ruin my computer thanks lisa xx

i have no idea either but i think that i am one of the lucky ones as i dont seem to have anything wrong with my computer

I have the same as you, Lisa, and I would like to find out, too.

But it seems that the ones who know about the Trojan, Errol the Sheep and Colin from Hampshire, have decided to leave GR because GR are not doing anything about the Trojan.

Sometimes, I have a Secuity Alert, saying something has been blocked. I hope it has been blocked.

If your anti virus has blocked it then you are OK, you don't say what the trojan is. Make sure everything is up to date and delete cookies and temp internet files.

Errols thread is still there about what to do, as are others regarding making your computer safe. including using Firefox as your browser, especially on GR

im not a computer whizz...not been doing it long and wouldnt have a clue what to do...when it flashes on screed its something to go with gida....like i say ive not got a clue lisa xx

A Trojan virus can be picked up from anysite,,,but if your anti virus has blocked it from entering your computer you dont have any real concerns,

A Trojan makes your computer vunrable to outside spyware tracking ie sites you visit ie -Ebay,or any site you use for buying on line,,,,,,,,
But what the Trojan does is alter the way your computer acts,,and can if you have banking accounts stored or any financial information stored ruin files,,,,,,,,,also it can when being on the WWW can direct you to unhealthy Adult sites,,,,,they are several Trojan Viruses,,some more prolific than others but never the less can do real harm within your system,,,,in a laymans terms its like Trojan re-write your whole computers operating system, and can render it usless,,,,,,,,

can you imagin how big the operating sytsem is with Gr and its other run sites,,,Trojans will invade in a flash,,,and each and every system thats used by this and sister sites carry such vast information that run on several servers,,Trojans attack each server,,,,,,,,,,its like cleaning a whole streets bloked drains,,and making sure all the gunk is well and truly gone,,,,,,,,but some Trojans can manifest them selves,,,,blame the Geeks who for nothing better to do than write programes up that once they release them on the WWW,,its like releasing a can of maggotts,,,,,,,,,,,
