IF you had a run in with your friend........... and she/he had told you odd bits and pieces about how he/she felt about others........ do you think it's justified to pass that info on............ seeing as you were no longer friends......... or would you keep it to yourself as over and above everything else it was told to you in confidence...........

altho i can only be pushed to far

me n me best mate of 17 yr at the tym fell out and i cld hav blew her out the water i nvr because even tho we nvr spoke she was my friend and i luved her very much 4 yr later we got tlkin again and the worst thing was i missed the birth of her first son
her second child ws born on my birthday which sorta just sealed it for me

If you were to pass it on it would not only hurt your ex friend but would hurt the people she had spoken about. also you might well make it up with your friend so how would you feel then? No definitely keep it to yourself.

I have confidences that I will take to the grave, will tell no-one ever, even if I fell out with the people....

......but I know not everyone is the same, it is up to your own judgement.....

Keep it to myself it would make me feel awful to break a trust, i still hold secrets from a friend who died 8 years ago there is only one person i can tell but the time has not come yet so its held in my heart with all the other secrets ive been told.

I hold confidences I have been given by various friends over the years, though most I have simply lost contact with as life moves on, one or two I have fallen out with (mainly after my divorce) but I will take those confidences to my grave with me, even though one person has spilled the beans on me I would never do it back. It jsut isn't a good enough reason to do so.

Yes and no hon. I spose I just have a very strict set of rules where friendship and trust are concerned and I've watched people cross the line both in the real and the cyber world.

Wondered if it was just me that felt that trust is trust and friendship , even if ended, requires that any promises of silence be honoured.
