Would anybody agree with me that GR should set up a new board where people could post on separate County threads. Then when somebody finds websites etc or prepared to do research in a particular area it would be easier found ? |

Good idea in principle laptop, but knowing how these boards are, it runs the risk of being divisive... |

Lindsey, I have done that previously, but of course if nobody adds for a while then they gradually disappear off first few pages then people do not realise they exsist, but if searchers knew there was a board just for them then maybe they would search a little further or even start one. |

Actually on tips that would work, or as a tips type board. I take back what I said in my first post, I thought you meant generally, sorry. |

DO you mean they want their whole family tree delivered on a silver platter tied up in shiny ribbons without actually looking for it ?!! |

Teresa, my thought is that if it was a board dedicated to this type of thread then maybe GR could arrange them in alphabetical order then sticky them so easy to find ? |

Lindsey, I think sometimes people need some help or assistance within the area they are searching and some tips on where to look are always gratefully received. |

Good idea, but far too many county boundry changes over the centuries it would all become very confusing, perhaps they could simplfy it in some way |

Colin, that is a good point, but I am sure there is a way of overcoming that. Certainly it has caused a problem for me as the family lived on Welsh border which seemed to move when wind changed direction ! |
