Im trying to find a song which i wish to add as a soundtrack to a slideshow of my mum, only problem is I dunno what its called or who it is by.

I know a sample of it was used in Watergates Heart of Asia and that it was written by a Japenese composer, it was used as the soundtrack for a film about Japanese prisoners of war in the 80's but thats all I can remember.

Do any of you have any ideas please

Can you narrow down the name of the film?

For example..................any idea who was in it, or a characters name?

Then it will be easier to find the soundtrack........................love the name by the way :)))

I too thought it was Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence. Can't remember everyone who was in it, but David Bowie definitely was. A brilliant film, and piece of music. - Julia in Derbyshire

Good morning everyone

Thank you Jax for asking about this music,it is beautiful, marvellous gift for your mum.
I'm playing it now, ages since I've heard it.

What a gift Sakomoto has! I would say I'd give my right arm to play piano like him, but? ;O)

At aged about 9/10 I had piano lessons, which I had wanted to do for quite a few years. Only kept it up for a short while, as I then got interested in Choir. It is one of the greatest regrets of my life, and still haunts me today after fifty years. I always weep when I hear a good piano piece played. But hey ho, never say never - Julia in Derbyshire

Mau I wanted to compile all the photos I have of my mum into a slideshow on my tree and wanted a piece of music that makes me think of her when I hear it, which Forbidden Colours (as ive just found it is called) does.
