Ros, I go to Family Planning here for my smear test as my female doc is useless at getting enough cells. They do so many of them it is easier for them so am happy to go, it makes the young girls do a double take lol |

I've actually stayed with my old GP just to get the service of a nurse, even though i'm now living out of the area. He's a one man band, doing things the old fashioned way. Mind you, he's getting on a bit now and so is the nurse, so I guess i'll have to accept that change eventually. |

My GP practice and everyone associated with it is fantastic and we now have an on site pharmacy too so we can get out prescriptions straight away!! |

Dee, I have it for heavy periods-the Mirena.Yes , it is for family planning too but can be used for problems . Think at 54 Im beyond family planning!!Ros xx |

In my experience, the family planning clinic staff are actually better where matters concerning the coil are concerned, certainly with regard to insertion and removal - I presumed that it is something that they are doing on a very regular basis and are therefore more experienced. |
