to wear off. My hubby had an op under general a week today for trapped nerves in elbow - most nights he gets an attack of shivers and shakes - does not last long - but is this normal ? |

Depends on his condition going down to theatre, length of time under it, reaction to that particular anaesthetic, extent of op. |

Anaesthetic (I think)! |

It can also have an effect if your husband has had to come off any other drugs, or a change of drugs. |

I agree he should mention it to a doctor, as has been said before, he may have an infection. |

If he checks out OK with the physician, (good idea first), have him drink plenty of water to help flush things out. |

depends vedry much on how long you are under and how you react to anaesthetic - for me a short time under takes days and days to recover from |

I had a short period under general anaesthetic last Thursday. Still suffering the effects - which are sleepiness and an inability to 'settle' to anything. From previous experience it takes me about 3 weeks to recover. |
