where i can find out when sombody arrived in england from america?

my great great grandfather was a native american from the sioux tribe, but i cant find any information about him before 1878 when he married my great great grandmother. i have his father's name as a thomas harley, a surgeon???? but that is about it. my grandfather was born in 1853 his name is henry harley, indian name: little foot.

i have looked at the ellis island records but they only state when somebody entered america, not left.

thanks

Have you tried Ancestry or findmy past sites?

I think they both have info immigrants and emigrants.

Hi,
Incoming passenger lists are kept at the PRO in Kew,
It would be very difficult to find them without a year, Port of entry or a ships name though.
I have the same problem, I know that my grandfather came here between 1908 and 1914 and came via Liverpool, I also know that he came from the port of Montevideo in Uruguay.
Even with all this information, I still have over 250 passenger lists to look through..

My GG Grandfather arrived in Liverpool in about 1875. His name was Henry. He arrived with a brother. They were aged about twelve+.
Thire farther was an Irish emigrent to America and went from Dublin( I think ) and was a vetinary surgen. He married a Native American Cherokee lady. He may have been father to more children in America. His name was Thomas and the Cherokee Lady may have been named Caroline but I am not sure of this. I need information of my GG Grandfathers b

and another one similar
