I have been having a good clear out of stuff.... I have found loads of equipment destructions for stuff from 30 years ago, stuff that has long gone to equipment heaven, or been re-cycled as a other, more technical stuff! lol
Anyone else do this????

Im good with destructions I read them before playing with equipment, and keep them in a folder and yes actually understand them lol

i had a clear out of the folder the other day when i was putting a new set in, I still had the ones for the boiler which we had renewed 3 years ago lol

Hi Jax... I always used to understand destructions... I was quite good, actually... had to be cos hubby was away so much, lol... but some of the newer stuff is absolutely beyond me!! I *get* the quick guides that they have... but after that, it may just as well be in Chinese!! In fact, I'd be better off, as my SiL would translate happily for me!

I am very good at destructions for things like chainsaws, lawnmowers, wheelchairs, stuff like that.. not good with puter-type stuff, I panic as soon as I see the first letter of jargonese, lol!!
Oh.... and I haven't a clue how to work the remote on the new (year old, lol) telly!!

I never ever throw destructions away... if I give away the item, I pass those on as well!!

unfortunately I'm useless with anything technical - cannot work out how to empty the message box on my land line phone!!
unable to read or send texts on my mobile and don't have the patience for anyone to teach me!! I am a technophobe

Morning Daff......no time for destructions, have to dive in there and try and sort it out for myself.......then I pass it back to OH, who is the one who reads them and sorts it out.....

.....funnily enough I have given MiL my food processor, as I mainly use the blender, and hers was broken......I have just found the leaflet for it and will give it to her today.......it is an idiot proof one anyway, and I used it without the need to find out how it worked.......luckily....

ps.....I have a destruction folder especially for all the paperwork which comes with machines......just in case OH wants to read them.....

Ann.... it has taken me years, but I can now do that, lol!!

Sally... I have to say that I am a bit like that, but simply cos I don't always understand them... I do tend to put furniture together without reading them.... results can be a bit disastrous!!

Mick, wmsl, my OH reads everything through very carefully before starting... I am the one with a tendency to just dive in!! But only cos fellas write incomprehensible destructions!! lol

One of my sons reckons some of my destructions could be museum pieces, worth something for historical data alone... he was tongue in cheek, I know this because words like *dinosaur* *wheel invention* *get two sticks...* were used at the same time!

Cheeky beggar!

The ones that amuse me are those that were obviously written in Japanese, tranlated into American and then into English.

Strange this, wmsl... so many who don't read... but keep them safe in case we ever need them, lol!!

Just binned a whole pile....... feels good to be having such a de-clutter.

However, there is chaos in every room in the house, lol!! Don't do things by halves, me!!
