R.B. Every aniversary causes pain, again.

I lost my dad in 1989.

I try to think about happy memories, and that helps me get through.

R.B try to think of today as a "happy memories day", where instead of thinking of the saddness this date brought, think of the lovely memories that were left with you, those are your memories, hold on to them and they will ease you through the pain. xx

Anyone who has ever lost a parent..and I have lost both, will know exactly how you are feeling. It amazes me though how so many people think/expect you to be 'over' a bereavement after five years...in my expierence I have found this.I hope the people in your circle are more understanding.
