I bought a book of stamps today.
Did you know postal charges increase next week?
I'd missed that.

You can still use stamps bought now though if they don't have a price printed on them.

you can ALWAYS use stamps bought earlier.........and the quality stays the same.....Ie 1st is always first, and 2nd is always second no matter what the price rise is...........

Yup, apparently it has something to do with the cost of keeping unprofitable post offices open.

How many would gladly see a doubling in the cost of stamps to keep their local post office open?

....Less money spent on paying celebraties to appear in fancy TV adverts about Post Offices services might help.
I think it's an insult when so many post offices are closing.
Our nearest town no longer has a town centre office, - it's in WH Smith.
The queues were often really long when there was a purpose-built building, so I'm waiting to see what happens in a more confined space.

At the moment 1st class letter is 34p going up to 36p

2nd class letter is 24p going up to 27p

All the other sizes are far too complicated !!
