Hooray clocks go back tonight.
The NZ government decided to extend daylight savings this year by a few weeks,it seems to have gone on forever.
Does anyone else find it a bit of a bind once the real hot summer weather is past

Hi Tania,

Everyone in Britain can't wait until the clocks go forward here. Winter seems to drag & drag becuase we set of to work in the dark & get home in the dark.
Funny how countries can be different

I guess I have the two things that make it difficult.
Children who dont want to go to bed because it isnt dark and stock which get thrown out at the change of time.
My poor hubby has been getting the cows in in the pitch dark for the last few weeks.

I hope your spring rolls up soon Lancs lass and Ann,mind you you have to love the english weather.
Its the only place I have ever been in where a bbq has been snowed on LOL

Have only just got over the time being put forward one hour in UK. Cant get up in the mornings, and not tired enough to go to bed at night.

I love this time of year, Tania. Warmish days and cool evenings. We turn our clocks back tonight. They extended daylight saving by one week. My poor Mum put all her clocks back last weekend but wouldn't change them back, except for her watch lol

Do you get paid for it though?

Here, some night shift workers don't as the bosses say they will recover the extra hour when the clocks go back in October!

Yes, we do get paid for it, we don't loose an hours pay when the hour goes on either, I worked that night so it's ony fair that I work tonight.
