we had the dreaded call yesterday at school,
OFSTED will be in wednesday, so all in today

Why so little notice?

thats how its done now - 2 days notice, on the plus side they are only in for 1 day and focus on just a couple of aspects of your school, still sends everyone into babbling wrecks though !

Have they indicated which areas they are checking or do you find out on the day?

i think we find out from headteacher today what the focus will be, i'm gonna keep my head down, at the end of the day what can they do shoot us??

My friend has recently been through this in a primary school and my daughter has them coming into college on Monday.

On the plus side they see a truer picture of the working of the establisment but it can still set the nerves on edge.

hi all, just got back from school, been putting up displays, general tidying up,

poolie girl - i am a teaching assistant but work mainly on speech and language program, fun fit and brain gym and cover PSHE for the teachers which i love as you really get to know the kids

it went fine , mind you everytime they walked into a class i seemed to be on the way out of it!!

Had ours yesterday! Abs shattered, worked 9 days without break (got tomorrow off), worked all weekend from early morning til late at night, then again Mon pm.

At our Pre-shool we got no notice...she was there waiting when we let the parents in! Got a good though.
