a close friend wants to know is there anyway if you can find out if they are related to a peeps that has passed away..........he has things that belonged to the peeps.

Sorry....................must be me, but do you mean he wants to contact relatives of a person who has died as he has things he needs to return to the family?

If so................the undertaker would be the obvious first call as they will have the family details and could contact them on your friends behalf.

Do you mean this person has things which may mean he is part of the deceased family who he didn't think were related but now wants to find out?

only with bodily fluids, hair, bone.......what sort of things have they got...and it depends on how Contaminated the objects have been......

It's a very complicated process and expensive to retrieve DNA from an inanimate object because of degradation/contamination etc.

There are private labs that undertake this and I expect he can get a free consultation before committing to any expenditure.

Ask at local University who may be willing to undertake as part of a course or google for independent laboratories.

Have a few bits and bobs.........some have dried blood on from when the peeps was injured.

Do try the University first, if they have a good chance of making a match they may accept the challenge for the students to tackle, if they use an independent lab they pay!
