Saw this on the news at lunchtime.

It said he had been out with his mates and he was crossing the road and was knocked over,he is ICU with head injuries.

Police breathalysed the driver of the car and the breath test was negative.

His agent said he should be out in a couple of days.

Never watched *the Family*but I hopw he makes a full recovery.

Oh the dangers of being a pedestrian!!
He was in Medieval Heist last week as well, and was also excellent in a Chekov play that was turned into a film (can't remember the title at the mo)

As I live in Bristol have just had the local news on and they say he should be out in a few days and his injuries are not serious.

So you ladies can breathe again.

I was waiting for Muffy's thread about it.

This is the local BBC news item on line:

Actor Kris Marshall has suffered head injuries after being hit by a car, police have confirmed.

The 35-year-old former My Family star was on a night out in Bristol city centre when the accident happened.

He is being treated at the city's Royal Infirmary. (just up the road from where I work)!! His mother told the BBC that his condition is improving, but he remains in intensive care.

The actor, who comes from the Cotswolds, starred in the film Love Actually and played detective Luke Stone in ITV1 drama serial Murder City.

Marshall is due to appear in the forthcoming premiere of West End play Fat Pig.

A spokesman for the show said they were expecting the actor to resume rehearsals in a few days and believe he will be well enough to star in the production which opens next month.

His latest film Caledonia is a horror story about a seasonal worker at a remote Scottish hotel.
