Hi Jean,

I dont think there is such a word as such,,but maybe its title given to someone who does the specialised treatment within the med care ??

Oh dear Jean.... my immediate thought was that it was a jumped up title so that some non-medical practitioner in the health service can claim a hugely inflated pay packet....how cynical I am becoming :¬(
but I have a feeling that it is simply a clinic nurse.... depending on what area of medicine they are working in...... so not much help, am I? Sorry! lol

Love

Looks to me as if (present day anyway), it's a qualified pharmacist. A Doctor of Pharmacy.

Hope you are well lovely Jean?

lol Susan... I have just googled that too.... there are LOADS of ways the word is used, lol

Jean.... inmho clinician means anyone with a qualification who works in a clinic in specialist areas of health and medical research.... could be nurse, doctor, radiologist... any member of that team of specialists!

Erm... well I think it might, lol!
Edit... the use of the words clinicist and clinician seem to be interchangeable... I meant to add that bit and got all carried away!

Good luck with your appointment. xxxx

sorry but i have cheated, i've got a dictionary of medicine, it says: clinician is any doctor. of any speciality. dealing directly with patients.
