Being a gem of a husband I do the washing up. Wash in hot water, rinse under the cold tap and leave them to dry. - the only way.
My good lady wipes them with a cloth to dry them - un-necessary and unhygienic in my opinion.
While I claim to be a gem, I am tarnished by the fact that I almost never put the dishes away.
Does the above sound like anyone you know.?

Happy days

Good morning Harry........started my day off with a smile :O))

There's a saying the couple who wash and dry dishes together, lol ..stay together so think you're both right!
However I've been married 46 years, and even after doing the chore with OH all that time, 2 yrs ago we had a dishwasher installed and wish we'd had one years ago!! ...should add,we're still happy together :O)

Have a happy day

I moaned when we first married 41 years ago, that washing up was left to me, we were both at work.

One night OH came home and unloaded his van, with what I thought was another fridge He had seen this dishwasher on special offer, as it had been on demonstration in Art Wallpapers Shop, and bought it, the price £38, this was 1967.

Never looked back, now have had three in all. Have a dishwasher and washing machine fund. Money put by in case they pack up.

We both load it, and he generally unloads it.

Always wash pots and pans in sink, but always use paper towels to dry them. Do have tea towels for the occasional cup that may just need a rinse.

I prefer to wash, because I am used to hot water so they get a better wash, then rinsed in hot water too.
I usually leave them to dry by themselves. I hate drying anyway lol.
When hubby washes them it feels like luke warm water to me.

So what does that tell you? My hands are never out of water :))

I did hear that if in a hotel etc your cuttlery has water marks on it, that is a good sign cause they are not meant to use a dish towel due to them being loaded with germ etc.
Maybe somebody can correct me if I heard wrong.
