Round of applause and lavish praise please.I have been cleaning the oven.Well, actually it is because I have to call in the engineer. The door has fallen apart,it was never built have a wheelchair ram it several times a day.I still fell sooooo virtuous for cleaning it though.

It was always my dad's job on a Sunday afternoon - do the washing up after lunch and clean the cooker, inside and out. Now why couldnt I find a man like that!?!??!

Dawnie,
I have an ex-chef as well.He is a really awful cook.I have this ridiculous idea that he should know about food.Bought some asparagus recently, not only did he not know how to cook it,he had never eaten it before, and I am not talking grill chef,706 (1&2) area here,HNC,HND.
He does wash the floor, just as well he can do something! His greatest use is apportioning things.I can guarantee that if I make anything that needs rolling into little balls he will give me a load of balls the same size.Seems appropriate really!

Sharron

mine forgets he isnt feeding a restaurant full and we always end up with loads, he moaned today as I did lunch and there isnt much veg left over and now he will have to do fresh tomorrow.

I have 706 1 and 2 and still havent cooked loads of stuff and was saying the other days loads of stuff I havent eaten either, think you either have a flare for it or not, me I was more into restaurant side and reception

He was a military chef for thirty odd years and they seem to dine royally. I think the big problem is lack of imagination. He could knock you out three hundred equal portions of anything at all but make something interesting out of what is in the cupboard.I think not.
I am a veggie but when eating my food you generally would not know.He sometimes cooks a meat meal and I have something out of the freezer with the veg.I told him I had falafels and Quorn burgers in the freezer that needed using,so he cooked and served me all of both of them.Does he think I'm a bl**dy hamster!?
I think I'll just keep him on the little balls for now.
