Puss, did you see any red on their faces? or any yellow anywhere? They sound like they might be Goldfinches...they make a rattling/tinkling noise and feed in flocks... |

could be juvenile goldfinches or blue tits not yet developed their colour 'bits'. don't think they can be wrens, they tend to creep along the undergrowth or fencing looking for insects and don't flock I don't think. |
