always the same - just when you've given up all hope of ever seeing them again, in they walk!!!!! I always close the cat flap around 8:00 pm when he's in - don't want him getting in with the wrong crowd!!!

I expect he was out having a fantastic time last night and is now all snuggled up sleeping it off.
If only they knew what the worry they cause us!

So glad he came home safe and sound Theresa

So glad he is home, I didn't get back to the thread.
Kids and animals, they worry the life out of you!
Let's hope he has realised there's no place like home lol and doesn't stray again.

Thanks everyone.

My daughter (not the one who is working tomorrow, the next one down who is nearly 17...next Tues!) is going to go down to my aunts to have a check around the farm when she goes to feed her cat and the pony.

DD, he loves insects, has great fun with butterflies and moths. The closest he has got to a bird is to carry a feather around for a day...lol

i'm of to bed, hope pilchards ok, he might of found a snuggle place, if he's not back by lunch time, ask your neighbours to check all outbuildings/garages, he could be in one, mine use to go to ladies up road and stay there of a night......... cats are more independant than dogs...... lol

Theresa (Cork, Ireland) 157164 Report 17 Jul 2008 23:56

We have 3 cats, dad Pilchard, mum Dizzy and baby Spud (my youngest named them he is a Bob fan!)

Until abut a month ago the 2 eldest were not allowed out, the little one still isnt. We kept them in for over a year after the last 2 cats we had got runover on the same day. My now 10yo son was distraught.

Tonight Pilchard hasnt come in. Normally he never leaves the garden, he thinks he is human, probably because we hand raised him from 2weeks of age after he was found in a skip.

I have to go to bed, I have an 8am hospital appointment. My daughter doesnt want to go to bed but she has work at 7am and I have told her to go to bed...lol She is 18!!!

My 10yo wants to hang out the window all night calling the cat. He has been sobbing already tonight. We live in the middle of no-where so he wont keep the neighbours up! And yes I know he cant stay up all night!

I have driven down the road to look, spoken to a few dog walkers about (we have about 13 neighbouring houses within a mile or so).

I really dont know what to do apart form go to sleep and pray.

Thanks for listening to my 'rant'.

love Theresa
