doing well with aberdeen side of family,got back to 1750s but stuck with other side who all came from fife.Cant find any records for that area.

Really we need to know how far back you are before we can give you much help but-

Births Marriages & deaths (England & Wales) are available free on the following site but only up to 1920 ish

Census 1841-1901 & other BMD's available on the following site but it's a pay site

http://www.ancestry.co.uk/

Scottish BMD's on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

& it you are stuck then just post a thread on the Records board & someone will try to help you
