Peggy i do have a couple of books that i bought of the old Waltham Abbey when i lived there but they are still packed up somewhere.The place has changed since i moved there.They used to have traffic going through the high road and buses passing the little row of shops but its all pedestrians only now.My children all went to school there.There is a place called Quacker Lane and there was a Quacker school,so the place is very old. Peggy i lived there for 17 years and my daughter lives a stones throw from there.Right on top of the m25.The Woodbine was open last time i went past.It has a mobile home site behind it and its also at the start of Epping Forest.I can get my daughter to check to see if its still open and go in and make enquireys for you.Can get a photo for you of what its like today?
