Can anyone tell me the name of the illness which was only given a name a few years ago wherein everythng seems wrong with you, i.e. flu symtoms, sickness, aching all over, tiredness, short of breath, you name it they've got it, medics used to think it was put on and then decided it was genuine and gave it a name.

May - they think there might be a link with Fibromyalgia and ME and think they tend to go for Fibro now, both have CFS which is a real pain in the wotsit and wouldnt wish this on anyone.

Thanks everyone, since my daughter had chemo she's had everything wrong with her, on Wednesday had an appointment with her GP to get results of blood tests for under active thyroid, nothing wrong there so he said he would wean her off tablets prescribed by hospital when they said she has a faulty heart valve, last night after not taking her heart tablet she was vomiting and going to the loo all night and has been the same all today. GP said he would see her in three weeks to see how she got on.

I would tell her to book an urgent appointment with another doctor. A faulty heart valve won't just go away like that.

Hi Liz, some of these doctors don't seem to know what they are doing, do they? Fancy leaving her for three weeks to see how she got on!
Hope you are ok. Are you settled into your flat now, so you will feel cosy as the autumn and winter come along?

I know, I swear some of them need their heads looking at. It's not like a heart condition is something that is faked.

Flat is still a work in progress.

Off to see my own GP tomorrow to discuss my visit to the Rheumatologist with regards the fibro etc.
